The ISEL is delighted to hold its annual legal update event in Cork. This event will feature prominent speakers provide an update in their respective areas of expertise, each of which is highly topical. The event will be chaired by The Hon. Mr. Justice Seamus Noonan.
We are delighted to announce that the ISEL's Annual Brian Walsh Memorial Lecture will be delivered this year by Dr. Síofra O'Leary, Judge of European Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg. The event will be chaired by The Hon. Mr. Justice Frank Clarke, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and President of the ISEL.
This event, which will be chaired by Mark Carpenter, Head of Corporate Affairs, Sky Ireland, will explore recent developments in the regulation of harmful content. The speakers, Celene Craig, Deputy Chief Executive, Broadcasting Authority of Ireland; Dualta Ó Broin, Head of Public Policy, Facebook (Ireland); and Orla Twomey, Chief Executive, Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland, will bring their considerable knowledge and experience to this highly topical subject matter.
The ISEL is delighted to join with the International Law Association (Irish Branch) to host this joint event, at which important aspects of EU and international law will be addressed by Mr. Justice Gerard Hogan and Dr. Suzanne Kingston, BL.
